Survey: Has Covid-19 modified the reputation of financial services ?

Call for contribution to research on the impact of Covid-19 and ORM on Financial Services Firms' Reputation

As part of our efforts to provide the best enterprise and operational risk management advisory, training and insights services, Chapelle is undertaking research on sentiment analysis in financial news, focusing on the influence of the Covid-19 crisis on the reputation of financial firms.

Preliminary research from over 10 million news articles of the financial services industry indicates that the general sentiment towards financial firms has narrowed compared to pre-covid times. Themes and keywords associated with positive vs negative news articles are more homogenous across firms since March 2020. In other words, the sentiment from the press has become more uniform, less discriminating across financial services firms than it was before Covid-19 times.

This short survey seeks to gather insights into operational risk management’s influence on the reputation of financial services organisations in covid times. Survey results will feed into data that underpins an upcoming risk.net book publication and be compared against our sentiment and news analysis results.

We would be most grateful for your participation in our survey: it will take no more than 3 minutes to complete. As a token of our gratitude, the results of the survey will be shared with each participant ahead of the risk.net publication!

We need your contact details to follow up and share the results, as well as ensure the data is valid, however the data will be aggregated, and your answers will remain completely anonymous. You may choose to remain completely anonymous if you prefer.
