Nicolas Renard has 19+ years of experience in financial services. Since 2010, he has specialised in non-financial risk management, combining consulting and practitioner experiences, both in 1st and 2nd lines of defense, delivering critical operational risk and compliance projects for major retail and private banks.
His main achievements include: a bank-wide risk identification exercise through the execution of RCSA workshops; the validation of an advanced operational risk capital model; the delivery of IT risk and fraud management projects; the coordination of scenario analysis; and the roll-out of operational risk training for senior managers and risk champions.
Nicolas holds a Master’s degree in Management and is certified in Project Management and Process Improvement. He has extensive experience in operational risk and enterprise risk management and is a member of several professional risk organisations, including the Institute of Risk Management, of which he is one of the founding board members of the regional group covering Belgium and Luxembourg.
Nicolas is a trusted advisor, able to understand the key concerns of business and IT stakeholders, and is passionate about demonstrating the added value of risk management. Prior to joining Chapelle, he was a Senior Manager in Risk Consulting for KPMG in Belgium.
