Olivier Devuyst has 23 years of experience in financial services. Since 2009, he has specialised in non-financial risk management, becoming a senior expert in building or rebuilding risk departments and organizations and risk and control frameworks. His main experience consists in the mapping of processes (end-to-end) based on existing procedures and/or workplace instructions, ensuring all operational risks are identified within those processes, adequate mitigation actions implemented and controls executed and effective, as well in design and effectiveness. Furthermore, Olivier has an extended knowledge of fraud (internal and external) within processes, identifying risks, building scenarios and setting up action plans to mitigate the key risks. He is also a specialist in Business Continuity and Crisis management.
His main achievements include the risk analysis of key processes of an international banking group in Belgium and its subsidiaries and the setup of a key control testing plan (awarded as CEO’s choice of the year) and also the reorganization of a risk department of a private bank of an international banking group (awarded “best in class” groupwise). Used to having interactions and discussions with the regulators (ECB, NBB, ACPR, CSSF,…), top managers, Boards of Directors as well with operational and commercial staff, Olivier is considered as a reliable and trustable person, open for discussion and solution-minded.
