Structure and writing of a full ICAAP (internal capital adequacy assessment process) and ILAAP (internal liquidity adequacy assessment process) reports for a mid-size UK arm of a NYSE listed financial services company.
Team of 4 working on this project for Chapelle Consulting:
- one project lead (Ariane Chapelle)
- one market risk & risk governance specialist
- two interns (UCL students)
Project features:
- Called in emergency for help upon referral of a former client
- Very tight schedule for a very large task
- Tasks completed within imparted timeframe, requiring extreme commitment from both the consulting team and the client
Tasks and Deliverables:
- ICAAP report design, structure and strategy, adapted to the non-bank feature and size of the firm
- Continuous interaction with the stakeholders, up to Board level (US-based) for full buy-in on results and outcome
- Internal assessment of all risks: credit, market, liquidity, operational, commercial and all material risks to the firm
- Evidencing risk identification, assessment and monitoring at the firm
- Writing of the ICAAP & ILAAP reports
- Board members meetings for explanations discussions, feedback and buy-in on final message
